Description

A flavorful steak cooked to perfection, paired with crispy and seasoned potatoes – an easy, one-pan meal that’s perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

• 2 ribeye or strip steaks (10 oz each)

• 2 large russet or Yukon Gold potatoes, diced

• 2 tbsp olive oil

• 2 tbsp butter

• 3 garlic cloves, minced

• 1 tsp salt

• ½ tsp black pepper

• 1 tsp smoked paprika

• ½ tsp garlic powder

• 1 tsp dried rosemary or thyme

• ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

• Fresh parsley for garnish

• Grated Parmesan (optional)


Instructions

1. Wash, peel, and dice the potatoes.

2. Toss them with olive oil, salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and garlic powder.

3. Heat a skillet with 1 tbsp butter and 1 tbsp olive oil. Cook the potatoes for 10-12 minutes until crispy. Remove and set aside.

4. Pat steaks dry and season with salt, pepper, and dried herbs.

5. Sear steaks in the same skillet with another tbsp of butter. Cook for 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare. Add garlic in the last minute.

6. Rest steak for 5 minutes.

7. Return potatoes to the skillet to warm up.

8. Serve steak and potatoes with fresh parsley and optional Parmesan.

Notes

• Use a meat thermometer for precise doneness.

• For extra flavor, baste the steak with butter and garlic while cooking.

• Swap potatoes for sweet potatoes for a twist.
