Ingredients
•1 lb ground beef
•1/2 cup chopped onion
•1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper (optional)
•1 cup ketchup
•2 tbsp tomato paste
•1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
•1 tbsp brown sugar
•1 tsp mustard
•1/2 tsp garlic powder
•1/2 tsp salt
•1/4 tsp black pepper
•4 hamburger buns
•1 tbsp butter (for toasting buns, optional)
Instructions
1.Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat, then drain excess fat.
2.Add chopped onions and bell peppers, cooking until soft.
3.Stir in ketchup, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, mustard, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
4.Let the mixture simmer for 10-15 minutes until thickened.
5.Toast the buns with butter in a pan (optional).
6.Serve the Sloppy Joe mixture on buns and enjoy!
