Description

This homemade cottage cheese bread is soft, rich, and easy to make. With its high protein content and delicious texture, it’s perfect for toasting, sandwiches, or enjoying with butter!


Ingredients

•1 cup cottage cheese

•1/4 cup warm water (110°F)

•2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast

•1 tbsp honey or sugar

•2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

•1/2 tsp salt

•1 egg

•2 tbsp melted butter


Instructions

1.Combine warm water, yeast, and honey in a small bowl; let sit until foamy.

2.In a large bowl, mix flour and salt.

3.Add cottage cheese, egg, butter, and yeast mixture to the flour; mix well.

4.Knead dough on a floured surface for about 8 minutes.

5.Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour.

6.Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a loaf pan.

7.Shape dough into a loaf and place in the pan. Let rise for 30 minutes.

8.Bake for 35-40 minutes until golden brown.

9.Cool before slicing and serve!

Notes

•Use full-fat or low-fat cottage cheese for different textures.

•Whole wheat flour can be used for a healthier version.

•Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
